AADASV – Team Experience

Support and assistance

ADASV works in communities where individuals, especially women and children, are subjected to domestic violence and sexual abuse. Survivors are often deprived of safety, emotional support, and access to essential services, which are critical for healthy development and well-being. Exposure to abuse can lead to severe emotional trauma, negatively impacting mental health and personal development across all ages, often with long-term consequences into adulthood.

Child Needs in Crisis

After years of supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, our team understands that for children to thrive in such challenging circumstances, they need safety, emotional support, access to education, and a nurturing environment. Meeting these needs helps children sustain healthy development and resilience. All of our programs are designed to address these four fundamental needs.

Tools for Trauma Healing

Our tools have been developed by psychologists, social workers, and dedicated team members to help children and adolescents heal and grow after experiencing domestic violence and sexual abuse. Through structured, adult-led interventions in small, age-appropriate groups, we promote emotional regulation, resilience, and mutual support, helping survivors rebuild trust and confidence in a safe environment.

Sustainable Impact Through Local Collaboration

We prioritize lasting change by partnering with local organizations to strengthen prevention and intervention programs for survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

Our multiplication strategy equips, coaches, and supports frontline workers to train others in all interventions, creating a ripple effect that expands support and promotes resilience across the communities we serve.

Additional activities

Community Events

ADASV organizes sports, arts, and social events to bring together children, families, and survivors affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse. These gatherings strengthen bonds between caregivers, safe adults, and supportive networks, helping reduce the risk of emotional and behavioral challenges while promoting healthy social functioning. A sense of belonging is crucial for mitigating the long-term effects of abuse on children and fostering resilience.

Nutritious Food

In households affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse, children often face neglect, including inadequate access to nutritious food, which can impact both their physical health and emotional well-being. At ADASV, we believe no child should suffer from malnutrition or its long-term effects. That’s why we are committed to providing healthy meals for children and families, ensuring they have the nourishment needed to grow strong, resilient, and capable of reaching their full potential.
